Since British Prime Minister Boris Johnson implemented strict nationwide social distancing measures and urged people to stay home to prevent the spread of Covid-19, residents of the coastal town of Llandudno, North Wales, UK, have been very compliant. But it seems the goats are ignoring the ban, and are even plotting to take over the town.

This audacious herd of goats, totaling around 120, belongs to the Kashmiri Great Orme breed, which typically inhabits the Great Orme limestone region northwest of Llandudno, UK. Previously, they rarely ventured near the town, only venturing near its outskirts on days with bad weather. Normally, at this time of year, the goats would migrate to the coastal areas to avoid storms, but upon noticing the unusually deserted Welsh town, the herd immediately descended and frolicked as if it were their own home.
The goats that invaded the town are of the Great Orme Kashmiri breed.

When the goats first "invaded" the town in large numbers, the locals found them adorable but were concerned about public order and security, so they reported it to the police to have the herd returned to their area. However, just a few days later, these stubborn goats returned to the town, seemingly more formidable than before. This time, the herd not only gathered leisurely but also wandered everywhere, holding lavish feasts on plants and flowers, devouring the leaves of bushes along the roadside. They even climbed walls and casually picked flowers in people's front yards, some even peeking through windows.
Back and much stronger!
The goats seem to be seeing this as a great opportunity to explore every corner of the town, something they'd never dared to do before. They appear to be enjoying city life, running and playing together in the park in the mornings, strolling along the streets in the evenings, and leisurely chewing on hedges.

Although this troublesome herd of goats is plotting to "invade" the Welsh town, most residents seem quite amused by this adorable "invasion." Many have lived here for decades but have never witnessed anything like this, describing it as an "inspiring" event. They are excited to see the mountain goats taking over and guarding the streets for the humans.

Some people consider this a form of entertainment; instead of watching Discovery Channel on TV, they can simply pull up an armchair by the window and relax while watching the goats sniff flowers and chase butterflies outside. Some are very pleased that they no longer have to spend money hiring gardeners to trim their lawns – the goats take care of everything, keeping the garden clean and tidy.

It seems the goats are being tacitly recognized as official residents of the town. Thankfully, these adorable goats bring unexpected joy to the locals, helping them escape the boredom of being isolated at home due to the pandemic.
