On the morning of September 19th, the "Can Gio - Beautiful Nature" tour program, organized by the Ho Chi Minh City tourism industry, departed at 6:30 AM and concluded at 4:30 PM the same day. This is considered the first pilot tour following a "closed-loop bubble" model. Tourists only visit designated areas, primarily outdoor attractions, travel along pre-determined routes, and are accompanied by a tour guide.
The tour participants included 119 doctors and medical staff, representing central hospitals, provincial and city health departments, institutes, academies, and universities and colleges involved in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic in Ho Chi Minh City over the past period.

According to the doctors participating in this tour, this was their first day off after two months of fighting the pandemic. Many felt relaxed, enjoying peaceful moments immersed in nature, admiring the scenery of Ho Chi Minh City's "green lung," and having memorable experiences in this land rich in revolutionary traditions.
During the trip, the group visited tourist destinations such as: the Monkey Island Forest Park, took a boat trip to the Rung Sac revolutionary base - famous for the heroic Rung Sac special forces regiment of the past; learned about the flora and fauna of the mangrove forest at Dan Xay tourist area; visited and experienced pristine ecotourism at Dam Doi, and admired the panoramic view of the mangrove forest from an altitude of 26 meters at Vam Sat tourist area.

On the same day, the "Green Journey to the Land of Steel" tour program took place in Cu Chi District. 108 participants, all frontline workers in the fight against Covid-19 across 312 wards and communes in the city, participated. The event was organized by the Cu Chi District People's Committee in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh City tourism industry and the City Command. Visitors participated in activities such as: offering incense at Gia Dinh Temple and Ben Duoc Temple; visiting revolutionary bases and the recreated Cu Chi liberated zone; and exploring the field market and fruit orchards at the Tam Tan ecological tourist area.
These are "green and safe" tours; all participants have received two doses of the vaccine, travel in organized groups, undergo rapid Covid-19 testing before departure, and travel along "green routes".

Can Gio, Cu Chi, and District 7 are three areas in Ho Chi Minh City that have announced they have brought the pandemic under control and are preparing plans for economic recovery. Can Gio District plans to reopen closed-loop tourism tours to visitors from September 30th, and is also considering reopening outdoor recreational activities and dine-in services on a small scale (under 20 people) depending on the level of disease control and recommendations from the health sector.
