The Vietnam National Tourism Administration has requested provincial and city tourism departments and departments of culture, sports and tourism to strengthen safety measures for tourism activities during the April 30th - May 1st holiday and the peak summer tourism season of 2024.

Recently, the Vietnam National Tourism Administration (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) issued a document requesting the Departments of Tourism and Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism of provinces and centrally-administered cities to strengthen safety measures in tourism activities during the holiday and peak summer tourism season of 2024.

Accordingly, the Department of Tourism requested the implementation of Prime Minister's Directive No. 36/CĐ-TTg dated April 11, 2024. This directive emphasized ensuring traffic order and safety to serve the high demand for travel. At the same time, tourism businesses were encouraged to prepare well, ensure hygiene and safety measures to prevent the spread of disease, and provide quality services to attract and maintain tourist satisfaction.

Simultaneously, tourism departments and departments of culture, sports and tourism direct businesses to strictly comply with regulations on registration and public listing of prices for goods and services, and to sell at the listed prices for products and services serving the entertainment, shopping, sightseeing, experiential and culinary needs of tourists (service prices must be posted at the reception area, in a visible location, where customers can access the service before using it); they must not arbitrarily increase prices, pressure customers, or negatively impact the tourism industry.

The Vietnam National Tourism Administration also mentioned promoting and introducing tourist destinations and products and services for tourists based on promoting cultural identity and historical traditions.

Previously, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism also issued a document on the implementation of domestic tourism stimulus activities in 2024 with the theme "Vietnamese people travel in Vietnam - I love Vietnam" to anticipate the upcoming holiday season.
