The Red Sea Project is located on the west coast of Saudi Arabia between the cities of Umluj and Al Wajh, covering an area of 28,000 square kilometers.2The site encompasses 200 km of coastline and features an archipelago of 90 pristine islands, dormant volcanoes, miles of vast desert, majestic mountain landscapes, and diverse wildlife. The project is scheduled to open to visitors at the end of 2022.
The Red Sea resort offers the perfect blend of luxury, tranquility, and outdoor wellness activities. All services are designed to perfectly meet the growing demands of discerning, modern travelers.
With its natural shape resembling a dolphin, the island boasts the world's fourth-largest coral reef system and a significant amount of endangered coral.
The diversity of the islands and coastlines offers rare opportunities to enjoy the culture and natural world. High-quality services and accommodations will also set new standards in luxury tourism and position Saudi Arabia on the global tourism map.
The most notable island here is arguably Shurayrah, the central island of the Red Sea project off the west coast of Saudi Arabia. Naturally shaped like a dolphin, the island boasts the world's fourth-largest coral reef system and a significant amount of endangered coral.
The design here is inspired by the sea.
75% of the islands here will remain undeveloped to protect the natural environment and preserve its pristine appearance. The project also minimizes carbon dioxide emissions, waste production, light and noise pollution, maintaining the destination at a level comparable to a marine protected area.
The Red Sea project has surpassed key milestones and is progressing towards welcoming its first guests by the end of 2022 when the international airport and the first four hotels will open. The remaining 12 hotels are planned to open in 2023.
Inside the villa area of the Red Sea project
Upon completion in 2030, the Red Sea project will encompass 50 resorts, offering up to 8,000 hotel rooms and approximately 1,300 properties across 22 islands and 6 mainland areas. The destination will also include luxury marinas, entertainment, and relaxation facilities.
Diverse marine ecosystem
The design of the overwater resort is inspired by the surrounding natural environment, especially the coral in its purest form, creating a circular effect. The circle also symbolizes unity, integration, and wholeness, giving guests a feeling of completeness, confidence, and harmony.

This new luxury resort is set to launch in Saudi Arabia around the end of 2022.
The villas on the mainland are also inspired by the sand dunes. Each villa will be designed separately to give guests a sense of privacy. The resort promises to offer future guests a luxurious experience unlike anywhere else on earth.
