Dubbed the "alien city," Brondby Garden City, or Brondby Haveby, is located on the outskirts of Copenhagen, Denmark. It features gardens arranged in large circles, creating a stunning visual impression and earning it the nickname "alien culture." These drone photographs reveal a circular "paradise city" right here on Earth.

When people think of Denmark, they immediately picture a happy country with excellent social amenities. Denmark recognized the importance of the living environment very early on, so creating green spaces is always a top priority. Therefore, village architecture that emphasizes open spaces and creates a clean atmosphere is always a priority for the local government.

The concept of a garden city, a green city, was approved in 1964, when the Brondby city government agreed to allocate land to redesign the space and create these circular residential areas. The city was designed by landscape architect Erik Mygind.

When construction began, the entire urban planning project comprised 12 blocks of houses, designed primarily with large circles, allowing homeowners to escape the cramped feeling of living in box-like city apartments. This unique layout was based on the traditional housing model of 18th-century Danish villages, where neighbors could use a central circular area to socialize.

The houses in Brøndby Haveby have spacious yards that create a completely secluded living environment, a stark contrast to many other crowded and noisy cities, while also providing residents with the opportunity to pursue their hobbies of gardening and growing flowers.

Since the community was completed, many aerial photos have been taken and shared widely on social media. As a result, many curious people have flocked to the area, turning it into a unique tourist destination.

Because of its wonderful living space, this place is often rented by people working in the bustling city on weekends so they can enjoy the fresh air and the freshness of the greenery. The typical rental price for each of these garden houses is around $150 per month. However, due to planning restrictions, people can only live in these garden houses for a maximum of 6 months per year.
