The enchanting white village of Mijas in the land of bullfighting.

After five days of exploring some of the major cities of beautiful Spain, my companions and I finally arrived in Mijas – a traditional white village in Malaga, a coastal city.

Departing from Alcante in the morning, after a journey of nearly 500 kilometers, passing through Granada, we entered the territory of Magala, home to the attractive tourist destination known as the White Village.

From a distance, while the car was still traveling on the highway, passing through rolling hills and numerous mountain passes, we could already see ahead, high above, the rather unique white houses nestled against the hillside.

The White Village in Mijas, a town whose name says it all, is a village where most of the villas and houses are painted a pristine white, situated at an altitude of 428 meters above sea level, in the province of Malaga in the Andalucia region of Spain.

When we arrived in Spain, it was the sweltering summer, but the climate in Mijas was quite cool. The town resembled Da Lat in Vietnam, with its winding roads and peaceful atmosphere. People could relax amidst the natural scenery blended with dreamy and romantic architecture.

The white houses feature typical Islamic architecture from about 500 years ago, and are now being emulated and modeled by the Spanish, creating a diverse culture.

From the top of the ancient fort, looking through telescopes, visitors can clearly see the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea stretching out before them, separated by the Strait of Gibraltar. From this vantage point, the expensive villas lining the coastline stand out prominently.

Taking a stroll around the town, visitors can admire several well-preserved Roman relics, such as simple, small, and ancient churches. Alongside these are the local people's stylish house decorations and tree-lined pathways adorned with flowers, adding to the beauty of the natural surroundings.

The winding paths up and down the hills are quite interesting, creating a unique highlight of the town of Mijas. Wandering around the white village, we experienced a poetic, gentle, and memorable stroll.

Below the hill lies the town center, where locals engage in tourism services, transporting tourists around in tuk-tuks driven by charming female drivers. Tourists can also choose a unique mode of transportation by donkey-drawn cart, jokingly referred to as a "donkey taxi."

My companion and I lingered on a hilltop near the ancient church, surrounded by the shade of green trees and rustic flowers. The white village of Mijas in the land of bullfighting gives visitors a feeling of peace and tranquility, allowing them to enjoy everything as if in a fairytale world, and to cling to this rare, lovely, and poetic moment of their lives.
