From the end of October, cherry blossoms begin to shed their leaves and enter their "winter dormancy" period. It takes two months before the petals of spring bloom, signaling the start of a new cycle. Each flowering season, Da Lat seems to don a new coat. Cherry blossoms are planted along most major streets, on hills, and in old villas. The flowers bloom simultaneously, densely covering the trunk and branches, creating eye-catching "pink ribbons" that blanket the city.
The name "Cherry Blossom" comes from the fact that this special flower blooms in spring, resembles plum blossoms in shape, and has the color of peach blossoms.
Cherry blossoms fill the streets and corners.
Flower-lined streets intertwine, adding a touch of charm to Da Lat's slow pace of life, creating a unique atmosphere for the New Year. The most famous flower-viewing spots here include Tran Hung Dao Street, Xuan Huong Lake, Da Quy Slope, Tuyen Lam Lake, Langbiang Plateau, and the old villas and house verandas scattered throughout the city.

The origins of this particular flower are unknown, but it has now become a symbol of spring in the land of a thousand flowers. Along with the annual Flower Festival, Lam Dong also organizes the Da Lat Cherry Blossom Festival with many attractive events related to photography, cuisine, and street festivals to promote tourism and bring this flower closer to visitors.
When the flowers bloom, young people eagerly invite each other to go take pictures.

Cherry blossoms typically only bloom for ten to fifteen days before their petals fall. If you truly love and wish to stand beneath these romantic cherry blossom-lined streets in your own country instead of traveling to distant Japan, plan your trip this spring. And remember, check the weather forecast before you go, as the blooming time of cherry blossoms depends heavily on temperature.
