From the end of October, the cherry blossoms begin to shed their leaves and enter the “hibernation” period. Two months later, each spring flower petal blooms, signaling the beginning of a new cycle. Each flower season, Da Lat seems to wear a new coat. Because the cherry blossoms are planted on almost all major streets, on hills, in ancient villas. The flowers bloom simultaneously, densely packed from the trunk to the top, creating eye-catching “pink stripes” covering the city.
The name "Mai Anh Dao" was born because this special flower blooms in spring, its shape is like apricot blossom and its color is like peach blossom.
Cherry blossoms fill the streets and street corners.
The flower-filled streets, dotting the slow pace of life in Da Lat, create a very unique atmosphere on the first day of the year. The most famous flower-viewing spots here are Tran Hung Dao Street, Xuan Huong Lake, Da Quy Slope, Tuyen Lam Lake, Langbiang Plateau, or the ancient villas and house roofs scattered throughout the streets of the city.

This special flower has an unknown origin, but has now become a symbol of spring in the land of thousands of flowers. Along with the annual Flower Festival, Lam Dong also organizes the Dalat Cherry Blossom Festival with many attractive events related to photography, cuisine, and street festivals to promote tourism and bring this flower closer to visitors.
When the flower season comes, young people eagerly invite each other to go take pictures.

Cherry blossoms usually bloom for only ten or fifteen days before drooping. If you really love and desire to stand under these romantic rose-lined streets right in your own country instead of going to faraway Japan, plan to experience it this spring. And remember, keep an eye on the weather before going because the blooming time of cherry blossoms depends a lot on the temperature.
