Three Chestnuts was born from the passion for European fairy tales and was inspired by the story "Three Chestnuts for Cinderella" of the house owner. Sharing with Travellive, Ms. Do Quyen Hoa - owner of Ba Hat De house area said: "During the stressful time of the epidemic, my family and I chose to go to the suburbs of Hanoi to find a comfortable, airy space, close to nature. I chose this place because of its beautiful location: leaning halfway up the mountain, with a lake and an area of up to 1 hectare. Starting with a piece of empty land, I came up with ideas and started designing and arranging everything from large to small. Since I was a child, I have been passionate about reading foreign fairy tales, poems, and novels. And the ancients often say: Chinese food, Japanese wife, Western house. Because of the strong Western style, the houses at Ba Hat De were born from there."

The owner of this place aims for a peaceful, poetic healing resort space next to the mountains, rustic lake surface, and lush green trees, bringing an unusually relaxing and gentle feeling.
Regarding the meaning of the name, Ms. Do Quyen Hoa said: "The name is very important to me, I like the Vietnamese name to be easy to pronounce and simple. It will create a memorable impression for all visitors the first time they come. Besides being inspired by fairy tales, I really like the chestnut flower because of its extremely fragrant scent."

A multi-skilled person: fashion designer, painter, photographer, Ms. Do Quyen Hoa always loves beauty, wants to create things that are different and have "taste". Every item and decoration inside and outside the house is meticulously taken care of by her own hands to create a unique style: wood, furniture, bed mattresses are all imported by ship from abroad and must be consistent with the space of the house; or the tablecloths are hand-embroidered; the paintings hung throughout the house are all skillfully drawn by her... Therefore, Ba Hat De appears as an artistic space created from the most ordinary things.
In the eyes of an artist, according to Ms. Do Quyen Hoa: "The bungalows in Ba Hat De have a red color when combined with white to create contrast, along with the chlorophyll color of the leaves. These are 3 very precious and very expensive colors, bringing extremely high visual effect and taking pictures is very outstanding".

"Young and old people alike love taking photos when they come to Ba Hat De. To create a foreground, I invested a large amount of money in trees in the garden. With this type of house, planting trees also requires careful consideration of what type of trees to plant, with priority given to small-leaf trees that create a Western feel, such as pine, fir, pomegranate, and coniferous trees... The total cost of the trees alone from the time of construction until now is up to 3 billion VND. Therefore, I think I am doing it with passion and not necessarily thinking about recouping my capital. I will regularly and always change Ba Hat De to make it new and more beautiful," said Ms. Do Quyen Hoa.
