The Southern Traditional Cake Festival is a large-scale event, held annually in Can Tho city, to actively contribute to the preservation and promotion of traditional cultural values ​​and culinary culture of Can Tho city, the Mekong Delta region and provinces and cities across the country.

The 11th Southern Traditional Cake Festival in 2024, with the theme “Rich Southern Flavor”, will take place from April 17 to 21 at Binh Thuy District Square, Can Tho City. This is a unique cultural event to preserve and promote the value of Vietnamese culinary culture, while introducing the cultural beauty of the Mekong Delta to domestic and foreign tourists.

Visitors will admire many different types of cakes from the Southern region.

This year's festival brings together more than 250 booths, giving visitors the opportunity to enjoy and explore more than 100 unique traditional cakes, along with regional specialties and OCOP products from all over the country. 1. Festival Opening Ceremony

2. Offering traditional cakes on Hung Kings' Commemoration Day (10th day of the 3rd lunar month)

- Time: At 07:00, April 18, 2024 (March 10 of the lunar calendar).

- Location: Hung King Temple, Can Tho city (with detailed script according to separate ceremony rituals)

3. Traditional cake making contest and demonstration program on how to make traditional cakes

- Time: From April 17, 2024 to April 21, 2024 (March 9 - 13 of the lunar calendar).

- Venue: Competition and Performance Area in Binh Thuy District Square.

4. Organize a folk cake exhibition area; a giant pancake pouring demonstration area, a Thuan Hung rice paper making reenactment area (national intangible cultural heritage), and demonstration of how to make various folk cakes.

- Time: From April 17, 2024 to April 21, 2024 (from March 9 to March 13 of the lunar calendar).

- Location: Exhibition area, Festival organization.

5. Organize booths and decorate the Festival space
