According to information from the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO), the Awaji Flower Festival 2025 (Hyogo Prefecture) will be held from March 20th to April 27th to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Awaji Flower Show, an international event on horticulture and landscape art.
A quarter of a century has passed since the Awaji Flower Exhibition began. Against the backdrop of increasingly severe global environmental issues such as natural disasters driven by climate change, the environment surrounding Awaji Island is also undergoing significant changes. With the world's growing interest in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the influx of companies and human resources to Awaji following the COVID-19 pandemic, the Osaka Kansai Expo 2025 will be held under the theme "Designing a Future Society for Life," marking the 30th anniversary of the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake.

Here, the Awaji Flower Festival 2025 will be positioned as a pivotal event, driving development momentum throughout the region. This will be a great opportunity for many domestic and international tourists to discover the allure of Awaji, from its natural beauty with dreamy flower fields to its unique cultural, historical, and human values.
With the motto "come, see, and experience," the event will be an opportunity to learn about the sustainable coexistence between humans and nature: not just to see and enjoy, but combined with experiential activities that allow visitors to "feel the beauty firsthand."
Based on these factors, the harmony between humans and nature that has been nurtured and accumulated to date will be passed on and developed as a legacy for the next generation, especially Gen Z, who will become the next future leaders.

The festival will primarily take place at three main locations on Awaji Island: Awaji, Sumoto, and Minami Awaji. The festival areas will host a variety of activities such as workshops, seminars, hands-on experiences, botanical exhibitions, and other programs, all aimed at highlighting the importance of harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.
Located along the Seto Inland Sea, Awaji Island is conveniently situated just a 40-minute drive from Kobe and a 70-minute drive from Osaka. There are also direct bus services from Kansai International Airport, and visitors can easily travel between locations on the island using local buses. Notably, 88 tourist establishments on the island are participating in the event as satellite destinations, offering visitors the opportunity to fully experience Awaji's unique natural beauty and culture.
