Like the red phoenix flower in Vietnam, the purple jacaranda is the “messenger” of summer in Australia. In the city of Grafton, the purple jacaranda festival has begun since the end of September and will last until November 3. This is the oldest flower festival in the country, where there will be a series of exciting activities taking place around the theme of purple jacaranda flowers.

Visitors to Grafton at this time not only get to see the enchanting wild purple color on the streets but also have the opportunity to experience and participate in many interesting events.
On 31 October (Jacaranda Thursday), you can enjoy a free breakfast in Market Square, then browse the festively decorated shops, join the hula hoop with local schoolchildren in the park, and enjoy a Jaca Lunch at the Grafton Gallery.

On November 1, visitors can come to the festival held on the banks of the beautiful Clarence River and experience many free entertainment activities suitable for all ages. Be patient until the last minutes of the festival to not miss the special fireworks display in the sky above Grafton.
The event calendar is packed on November 2. The float parade in Corcora Park starts early in the morning, followed by a vintage car show on Duke Street, bike rides around the jacaranda-filled streets, floats along Prince Street, and a relaxing picnic in Market Square. On November 3, the festival concludes with a run through Caramana Park, Rogan Bridge, and SW Grafton.

According to observers, the purple phoenix flowers in Australia bloom earlier each year. However, the schedule for the Purple Phoenix Festival remains unchanged compared to previous years.
