As part of the traditional activities of the Central Highlands Gong Culture Festival held in Gia Lai, the Wild Sunflower Festival - Chu Dang Ya Volcano is an opportunity to introduce tourists from all over the country to the nature, scenery, and people of the Central Highlands mountains and forests. According to the plan, the festival will be held from November 10th to 13th, 2018, in Ia Gri village, Chu Dang Ya commune, Chu Pah district, Gia Lai province.

A special new feature of this year's wild sunflower festival at Chu Dang Ya peak is the paragliding activity to admire the flowers. Participating in this adventurous sport, visitors can freely admire the vibrant and lively beauty of the wild sunflower carpet blooming from the foothills to the mouth of Chu Dang Ya mountain, as well as the panoramic view of the beautiful city of Pleiku.

In addition, many other vibrant cultural, artistic, sports, exhibition, and tourism activities within the framework of the festival will bring visitors closer to the culture and hospitable people of the Central Highlands, such as gong competitions for all ages, folk singing, traditional musical instrument performances, weaving, brocade making, sculpture, rice pounding, and traditional longhouse construction…
In particular, the exhibition "Beautiful Photos of Chu Pah" features stunning photographs of the land, nature, and people of this region, giving visitors a closer look at this area.

For adventurous travelers, this year's wild sunflower festival will be an opportunity to experience the scenic route to the summit of Chu Dang Ya. Unlike the winding and challenging mountain trails of Northwest Vietnam, visiting Chu Dang Ya offers a peaceful and serene experience amidst the pristine natural landscape of the Central Highlands.

Following the red dirt trails to the summit of Chu Dang Ya, the wild sunflowers bloom in vibrant yellow, creating the dominant color and an impressive highlight for the entire volcano during the early dry months. Chu Dang Ya truly deserves its name as the "hidden gem" of Gia Lai's mountains and forests, an ideal destination for those who love nature, enjoy exploration, and seek out the pristine, pure, and captivating beauty of the vast Central Highlands.

The 2018 Wild Sunflower Festival at Chu Dang Ya Volcano promises to be an attractive destination for tourists. Moreover, it will serve as a foundation for elevating the event and building a tourism brand for Chu Pah district in particular and Gia Lai province in general.
