Lonely Planet focuses on introducing Phong Nha – Ke Bang in Vietnam

For the first time, information about Phong Nha - Ke Bang occupies 6 pages in Lonely Planet's latest travel guide.

Lonely Planet is the world's most successful travel publisher, with over 100 million books in print in many languages ​​and becoming the go-to guide for travelers. Nearly 80% of travelers use this book to plan their trips.

The Central Vietnam section was written by Ian Steward in the summer of 2013 and completed in March 2014. In this edition, Phong Nha - Ke Bang (PN - KB) is mentioned as the most attractive cave exploration destination in Southeast Asia.

Phong Nha – Ke Bang was recognized by UNESCO as a World Natural Heritage in 2003. With a collection of stunning caves such as dry caves, water caves, towering stalagmites and crystal stalactites representing nature on a truly grand scale, Phong Nha – Ke Bang is starting to create a tourism boom in Vietnam.

Recently, the British Royal Cave Association expedition team also cooperated to survey and explore caves in the national park. This is the 16th expedition of the team since 1990 and has discovered a series of new caves as well as obtained important results about the hydrological system in the Phong Nha - Ke Bang area.
