Malaysia Airlines expands its international network with a new direct flight to the long-awaited destination of Doha, becoming the airline's third destination in the Middle East, after Jeddah and Madinah, effective 25 May 2022.

The new flight will provide passengers with seamless connectivity via Hamad International Airport, allowing for optimal connections to the United States, Europe, Africa and the Middle East, through its codeshare partnership with Qatar Airways. Malaysia Airlines and Qatar Airways currently offer 62 codeshare destinations in Malaysia, Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand, the Middle East, Europe, the United States and Africa.

Malaysia Airlines operates daily direct flights between Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL) and Hamad International Airport, Doha (DOH) with flight numbers MH160 departing KUL-DOH at 21:20 and MH161 departing DOH-KUL at 01:30. The daily flights will be operated by an A330-300 aircraft, with 290 seats, of which 27 are in Business Class, 16 are in Extra Legroom Economy Class and 247 are in Economy Class.
