A timeless icon
Built in 1889 by Joseph Oller, the Moulin Rouge (which means "red windmill" in French) is aCaberet Club(dancing and drinking club) that became a symbol of the Belle Époque period. The club was located in the Pigalle quarter, a "red light" district of Paris, on the Boulevard de Clichy, near Montmartre. The red windmill has been a landmark of the site since its early days. However, in 1915, the windmill burned down, damaging the original structure. The current windmill was restored and rebuilt in the 1920s.

For many tourists, no visit to the City of Lights is complete without a visit to the Moulin Rouge, whether just to admire it from the outside or to experience the famous cabaret show “Féerie”. The venue was also the setting for Baz Luhrmann’s 2001 film “Moulin Rouge!”, which sparked public interest in the nightclub and its history.
Once in a lifetime opportunity
The windmill sits atop one of the world’s most famous cabaret clubs, which welcomes hundreds of thousands of visitors each year. But few know that inside the windmill lies a secret room. In May this year, the Moulin Rouge will partner with Airbnb to offer a few lucky travelers the chance to stay there.
The room in the windmill has been transformed into a sumptuous 19th-century bedroom with flowing pastel curtains. The room is surrounded by classic artifacts, vintage costumes, perfume bottles, and a paper stage - a tribute to the Moulin Rouge just below.

In addition, the outdoor area next to the windmill has also been renovated with sparkling chandeliers and a romantic pavilion, making it an ideal place to enjoy cocktails and admire the capital Paris. However, guests will have to use the shared restroom. In addition to a night in the windmill, visitors can also enjoy the Moulin Rouge's signature cabaret show and a three-course French meal.

Emmanuel Marill, Airbnb's regional director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, said that this is not a competition, but only a random number of people can book tickets because the partnership is a "once-in-a-lifetime opportunity." If you are lucky enough to set foot inside the windmill for a night, you will only have to pay a symbolic one Euro (approximately 26,000 VND).
“Attending a show at the Moulin Rouge is an escape from everyday life,” says Claudine Van Den Bergh, principal dancer at the Moulin Rouge. “You are immersed in the incredible glamour and splendor of French music. With the atmosphere and interior of the windmill room inspired by the Belle Époque period, guests are transported back in time to the time when the nightclub was born.”

Venues can be booked from May 17thhere, with stays for just three nights – June 13, 20, and 27. Each night can only be booked for a maximum of two guests.
