Naruko-kyo is a V-shaped gorge in Miyagi Prefecture with sheer cliffs approximately 100 meters high, stretching 2.5 kilometers along both banks of the Daiya River. It takes about 5 minutes by car from Naruko-Onsen Station on the JR Rikutosen line.
Here, visitors can enjoy the stunning scenery of all four seasons, especially during autumn from mid-October to early November, when golden and red leaves blanket the barren hills. Crossing the gorge is the Ofukasawabashi bridge, creating a picturesque and magnificent landscape that attracts many visitors to stroll, admire the scenery, and take photos every autumn.

Most tourist attractions in Miyagi near Naruko-kyo Gorge are accessible by public transportation, and there are helpful tourist information desks near major train stations. Driving yourself to explore the region's stunning autumn mountain roads is also a very enjoyable experience.
