Heavy rain brings joy to Australian people and many animals, but also causes serious flooding
The Australian bushfires, which have been raging since September last year, have so far killed 33 people and killed an estimated one billion native animals. The fires have destroyed around 2,500 homes and burned more than 11.7 million hectares of land. Australian authorities have been working to deal with the bushfire crisis with support from many countries including the US, Canada and New Zealand.
