On June 12th, a tourist boat carrying 28 passengers and one guide capsized off the coast of New York State, resulting in one death and approximately 10 injuries.
According to local media, the boat capsized due to a loss of balance while passing through the Lockport Cave area in the city of the same name. The deceased victim was a 60-year-old man.
According to the head of the Lockport Fire Department, rescue teams saved 16 people, and those injured were taken to hospital.

Earlier, on April 29, the Chinese Embassy in the Philippines confirmed that one sailor was killed and three were missing in a collision between two ships off the coast of Corregidor Island in the Philippines. All the sailors were Chinese nationals.
Meanwhile, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) said the accident resulted in two fatalities.
Later in May, a Chinese fishing vessel named “Lu Peng Yuan Yu 028” capsized in the central Indian Ocean.
There were 39 people on board at the time of the incident, including 17 Chinese, 17 Indonesians, and 5 Filipinos.
