New York, one autumn day

05/12/2012

November is the ideal time to see New York City in fall. As the trees shed their leaves in preparation for the coming cold winter, the bustling streets are adorned with striking shades of orange, yellow, and red.

You can visit the street where John Lennon was murdered in 1980 and observe a minute of silence in his memory; it's 72nd Avenue, one of the most special destinations in New York City, USA.

Take a stroll through the colorful Central Park, a tranquil haven in the heart of the bustling city. Wander along its tree-lined paths, enjoy a cup of coffee, and savor some delicious New York cookies. Afterwards, enjoy lunch at The Loeb Boathouse restaurant with a glass of white wine. And in the afternoon, consider horseback riding or a carriage ride to experience the park's delightful sounds and activities.

If you're in New York, don't miss the chance to visit the famous Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, near Central Park on Fifth Avenue. The museum displays exceptional works of art with contemporary exhibitions throughout the year. Here, you can also enjoy appreciating its unique architectural features.

Late afternoon is the perfect time to visit one of New York's most famous buildings, the Empire State Building. The view of the city from above, with the sunset over the horizon, is an indescribable experience.

One of the best ways to get a general understanding of the city is to photograph New York's landmarks, the Statue of Liberty and the bustling Pier 17, near the Brooklyn Bridge on the Southbound Highway; spend an afternoon admiring the city and the Statue of Liberty from the Hudson River while passing Battery Park and the Twin Towers, the site of the 9/11 tragedy.

Finally, end the day with a drink at Bar 55, 55 Christopher Street, or Smalls Jazz Club at 183 West, 10th Street. Choose a fantastic dinner at one of the area's renowned restaurants, such as Garage at 29 Cornelia Street.
