This church was founded in 1944 by a group of fishermen. It is also considered a maritime symbol that helps guide fishermen home.

Although the church council did not intend for the church's face to resemble a rooster's face during construction, the unexpected resemblance has greatly intrigued church officials.

Many local fishermen even consider the church as a compass, with the two wings representing East and West, and the beak and tail representing North and South, respectively.
