On the morning of May 20, the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam (CCIFV) and the Alumni Network under the French Embassy in Vietnam co-organized a press conference to introduce the France-Vietnam Job Fair 2022. This is the 7th time this event has been held in Vietnam.
According to Ms. Emmanuelle Pavillon-Grosser, Consul General of France in Ho Chi Minh City, in Vietnam, the Francophone community is growing with about 65,000 people. In addition, there are more than 40 French enterprises operating in Vietnam with a scale of about 30,000 employees, and this number will continue to increase.
Ms. Emmanuelle Pavillon-Grosser, Consul General of France in Ho Chi Minh City, spoke at the event.
"The 7th France-Vietnam Job Fair in 2022 is a very important event for the French business community in Vietnam because after 2 years of interruption due to the Covid-19 pandemic, businesses all need to add staff to restore and expand operations," said Ms. Emmanuelle Pavillon-Grosser.
The 2022 French-Vietnamese Job Fair will include a seminar and introduction of companies, a conference on the labor market. The program allows employers to quickly interview candidates. For those with suitable professional qualifications and abilities, the fair in Hanoi will have 150 job opportunities waiting, while in Ho Chi Minh City, this number is 300.
Responding to Travellive, Mr. Julien Tran, Secretary General of CCIFV, said that Vietnam and Thailand are two of the most vibrant and developed labor markets in the Asian region.
The event brought together more than 40 companies and businesses in the Francophone community.
"Vietnamese people are hard-working and always try to work to develop themselves. Ho Chi Minh City has a fast growth momentum, suitable for industries related to technology, communications, and new service industries," Mr. Julien Tran shared.
In particular, although the event is a recruitment day for French businesses, candidates do not necessarily need to know French. Many positions require people who know Vietnamese, English and other foreign languages. The 2022 France - Vietnam Job Fair will welcome more than 40 businesses and companies in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, in the fields of Trade, Retail Distribution, Accounting and Auditing, Media and Communications, Education, Information Technology, Engineering, Construction, Services, Hotels, Tourism, Transport and Logistics, etc.
It is not necessary for staff to know French, companies hire people who know many different languages.
The French-Vietnamese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIFV) and France Alumni Vietnam – French Embassy in Vietnam have jointly organized the French-Vietnamese Job Fair since 2014. The event was first held in Hanoi, then held in parallel in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City from 2016 to present. In 2018, the event attracted more than 700 candidates and 47 companies to attend.
The French-Vietnamese Job Fair is the largest recruitment event in the Francophone community. In Ho Chi Minh City, this year's event will take place from 8am to 11am on Saturday, May 28, at Novotel Saigon Center Hotel, 167 Hai Ba Trung, Ward 6, District 3.
