After a two-year hiatus, the Franco-Vietnamese Job Fair is officially back. More than 40 French companies operating in Vietnam are seeking to fill 450 positions across various sectors.

On the morning of May 20th, the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam (CCIFV) and the Alumni Network under the French Embassy in Vietnam jointly organized a press conference to introduce the 2022 France-Vietnam Job Fair. This is the 7th time this event has been held in Vietnam.

According to Emmanuelle Pavillon-Grosser, the French Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City, the Francophone community in Vietnam is growing, with approximately 65,000 people. In addition, there are more than 40 French businesses operating in Vietnam with around 30,000 employees, and this number is expected to continue to increase.

Ms. Emmanuelle Pavillon-Grosser, Consul General of France in Ho Chi Minh City, delivered a speech at the event.

"The 7th Franco-Vietnamese Job Fair in 2022 is a very important event for the French business community in Vietnam because, after a two-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic, businesses are in need of additional personnel to restore and expand their operations," said Emmanuelle Pavillon-Grosser.

The 2022 Franco-Vietnamese Job Fair will include thematic workshops and company presentations, as well as a labor market conference. The program allows employers to conduct quick interviews with candidates. For those with suitable professional qualifications and skills, the Hanoi fair will offer 150 job opportunities, while the Ho Chi Minh City fair will have 300.

"Vietnamese people are hardworking and always strive to improve themselves. Ho Chi Minh City has a rapid growth momentum, making it suitable for industries related to technology, media, and new service sectors," shared Julien Tran.

Notably, although this event is a recruitment fair for French companies, applicants do not necessarily need to know French. Many positions require proficiency in Vietnamese, English, and other foreign languages. The 2022 French-Vietnamese Job Fair will welcome over 40 businesses and companies in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, in the fields of Trade, Retail Distribution, Accounting and Auditing, Media and Communications, Education, Information Technology, Engineering, Construction, Services, Hospitality, Tourism, Transportation and Logistics, etc.

The Franco-Vietnamese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIFV) and France Alumni Vietnam – the French Embassy in Vietnam – have jointly organized the Franco-Vietnamese Job Fair since 2014. The event was first held in Hanoi and has since been held simultaneously in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City from 2016 to the present. In 2018, the event attracted over 700 applicants and 47 companies.

The Franco-Vietnamese Job Fair is the largest recruitment event in the Francophone community. In Ho Chi Minh City, this year's event will take place from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 28th, at the Novotel Saigon Center Hotel, 167 Hai Ba Trung Street, Ward 6, District 3.
