simple meals
Food is undoubtedly one of the reasons that motivates you to explore a new place. Although most dishes in Stockholm are expensive, once you adjust your expectations and approach to eating, you'll find that the food you try is well worth the price.
Pizza kebab is a popular dish in Sweden, and every pizza restaurant in Stockholm has its own version of this delicious treat. Basically, it's a pizza with a tomato sauce base, topped with cheese, onions, pepperoncini, doner kebab meat, and the familiar kebab sauce you're used to eating. A large pizza kebab at Corella Pizzeria is very attractively priced at just 90 krona (approximately 223,000 VND). Alternatively, you can also try the Jamaican curry pizza (served with plantains!) at Angelo's for 94 krona (approximately 233,000 VND).

When looking for accommodation, don't forget to keep an eye out for hotels or guesthouses that offer a buffet breakfast. A Swedish buffet is incredibly hearty with countless irresistible dishes; if you're confident and don't mind taking a lot, breakfast can instantly turn into lunch without extra charge. You can even discreetly slip a few rye breads, traditional Swedish biscuits, or some apples into your bag or backpack.

The best dining spots in Stockholm are outdoors, or in other words, completely free "starlight" spaces. Bring leftovers from your buffet or pizza to one of the city's picturesque parks and you've got the perfect picnic. If you go up to Skinnarviksberget in the Södermalm district, the highest point in the city, you'll get a breathtaking panoramic view of Stockholm. Locals also love the charm of Ivar Los Park, where you can immerse yourself in the city's picturesque scenery, from Lake Mälaren to Gamla Stan (Stockholm's Old Town) and the iconic City Hall.
The old town of Gamla Stan is notable for its brightly colored houses.

Swimming and sunbathing
If you're not worried about money and want to learn more about the band ABBA, then visit the ABBA Museum. But if you're on a tight budget, there are still plenty of fun things to do in Stockholm for free, such as swimming and sunbathing.
Summer is the best time to visit Stockholm, when the warm weather encourages you to cool off anytime, anywhere, in the local way. The waters around Stockholm are so clean you can swim and bathe right in the city center, specifically in Tantolunden Park. Alternatively, you can relax on beaches like Långholmsbadet and Brunnsviksbadet.
Locals and tourists swim in the lake in Tantolunden Park, right in the heart of the city.
Lost in the underground art space of Stockholm
You can easily get around Stockholm on foot, and it's a great way to save money (especially if you don't want to buy a Stockholm Travel Card). But don't miss the city's unique metro system, which offers access to public art. For 45 krona (approximately 112,000 VND) for a one-way metro ticket valid for 75 minutes, you can admire mesmerizing artwork on the platforms, walls, and waiting areas of each station. From the soothing shades of blue in the main T-Centralen area to the vibrant rainbow colors of the Stadion and another world of bright greens and reds in the Solna Centrum, each stop is impressive.
