Yoga originated in India and is known as a method to help improve both physical and mental health. And today (June 21st), as temperatures soared in many cities, including the capital Delhi, thousands of Indian people from various cities and towns gathered outdoors to celebrate International Yoga Day.
Even the K9 unit in the Indian army is celebrating this day!

The Indo-Tibetan border police, along with their canine and horse-bound members, are equally adept.

Armed forces aboard the naval aircraft carrier INS Viraat, currently docked off the coast of Mumbai, also practiced yoga to commemorate the day.

Notably, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also joined approximately 40,000 people in yoga practice during today's celebration in Ranchi City. He performed a range of poses, from stretching and bending to breathing exercises.
Prime Minister Modi stated at the main event to kick off the celebrations: "We should strive to spread yoga from cities to villages and tribal areas. Yoga knows no religion, status, color, gender, or region."
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is known to be a passionate yoga enthusiast.
In addition, some people organized a gathering at the Adalaj Stepwell in western Gujarat to commemorate this important day.
