The opening ceremony of the 31st Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 31), themed "For a Stronger Southeast Asia!" - the region's biggest sporting event in 2022 - officially commenced on the evening of May 12th. This marks the second time Hanoi has hosted the Southeast Asian Games since 2003.
The ceremony was held in a grand and spectacular manner at My Dinh National Stadium (Hanoi), with the participation of more than 4,900 athletes from 11 countries, along with impressive performances and dazzling sound and light effects.



The Congress took place from May 5th to 23rd, 2022 in Hanoi and neighboring localities including Bac Ninh, Hai Duong, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Ha Nam, Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh, Hoa Binh, Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho and Bac Giang. The opening and closing ceremonies were held in Hanoi on May 12th and May 23rd, respectively.
To promote this year's SEA Games, Ngo Tran Hai An – a travel blogger and photojournalist – was invited by TikTok Vietnam to produce content. Photojournalist Ngo Tran Hai An shared that equipment is extremely important when photographing sports. He stated that the equipment he used for this shoot cost over 1 billion VND.
"Sports have never been my forte; I'm still just an outsider learning the ropes," Hai An jokingly shared on his personal page.
