In June, Waverly Council passed several motions and indicated it would take action against those risking their lives just to take selfies at Diamond Bay. Accordingly, the Council agreed on several measures to restrict or prevent movement around the restricted area, including installing more surveillance cameras, physical barriers, multilingual signage, and more frequent patrols – especially on weekends.
