The event took place within the framework of the official visit of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and a high-level Vietnamese delegation at the invitation of Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Sweden and Vietnam. NutiFood, the first major Vietnamese dairy company to invest in Sweden, was invited to participate in this event.
On May 27th, NutiFood officially commenced operations at its dairy factory in Sweden.
NutiFood Sweden AB is an investment project of NutiFood (owning 50% of the capital) together with Backahill Group of billionaire Erik Paulsson (25% of the capital) and Skånemejerier Ekonomisk Förening (25% of the capital), located in Bjuv in southern Sweden, a region known as the best agricultural area in Northern Europe, surrounded by approximately 2,500 organic farms.
Mr. Tran Thanh Hai, Chairman of the Board of Directors of NutiFood, is very proud that NutiFood is the first Vietnamese enterprise to invest in Sweden.
Mr. Tran Thanh Hai, Chairman of the Board of Directors of NutiFood, also did not hide his ambition when deciding to invest in Sweden: “NutiFood is proud to be the first Vietnamese enterprise to invest in Sweden. In our strategy to expand globally, we have conquered the US market, and this is the next step to conquer the European market. We chose Sweden because it is a country that provides top-quality organic food, especially milk, meeting the highest standards in the world. We hope that organic milk products produced through cooperation between Vietnamese and Swedish businesses will be available worldwide. NutiFood is committed to doing its utmost to demonstrate the capabilities of Vietnamese people and contribute to the good relationship between the two countries.”

The NutiFood Sweden AB factory, in its first phase, represents an investment of nearly $20 million, with a total capacity of 15,000 tons per year, including 5,000 tons of infant formula and 10,000 tons of baby food. It is managed by experienced professionals from renowned global dairy and food corporations.
