According to the Vietnam Trade Office in Pakistan (Ministry of Industry and Trade), Pakistan's Minister of Information, Attaullah Tarar, recently announced at a press conference that Pakistan will grant visa-free entry to businesspeople and tourists from 126 countries, including Vietnam. This policy will take effect from August 14, 2024. To apply for a visa-free entry, businesspeople and tourists can visit the website.https://visa.nadra.gov.pk/e-visa/and select the "Visa Prior to Arrival" option.
Visas will be issued within 24 hours and will be valid for 90 days. The visa application form will also be simplified to 30 items from nearly 100 previously. The Pakistani Prime Minister hopes the new visa policy will help Pakistan become a more attractive destination for foreign investment and tourists.

Vietnam hopes to further promote cooperative relations with Pakistan in the coming time. Specifically, the two countries will strengthen exchanges of high-level delegations, explore the signing of new cooperation agreements, and promote cultural exchanges such as performing arts, film, fine arts, photography, exhibitions, and exchanges on heritage and museums.
According to the latest figures from the Vietnam Trade Office in Pakistan, in the first five months of 2024, Vietnam's exports to Pakistan reached US$168.2 million, an increase of 12.6% compared to the same period last year. Conversely, in the first five months of 2024, Vietnam imported goods from Pakistan worth US$155.9 million, an increase of 57.6% compared to the same period last year.
Specifically, the two countries will further promote their cooperative relationship in the coming period.
Vietnamese goods imported from Pakistan mainly consist of various types of fabrics, textile and footwear raw materials and accessories, various types of cotton, and various types of textile fibers. Meanwhile, Vietnamese goods exported to Pakistan include tea, pepper, seafood, rubber, various types of iron and steel, and various types of textile fibers. Notably, in the first five months of the year, tea exports reached the highest value, exceeding 23.4 million USD.
According to the Export Bureau, Pakistan is the world's second-largest tea importer. Statistics from the Pakistan Tea Association show that in the first six months of 2024, tea imports reached US$272 million, an 11% increase year-on-year. This surge in tea imports reflects the growing popularity of this beverage among consumers in the country, despite economic pressures.
