Despite having to wear bright red dresses, the color of the Chinese flag, the contest attracted quite a few male participants, some even bringing their pet dogs, who also wore... red dresses.

With the aim of promoting the spirit of physical fitness, the Beijing City Running Enthusiasts Association in China organized a running competition called "RedDressRun" on May 11th.

The competition welcomes all ages, young and old, men and women of all ages, with the only condition being that participants wear red dresses while running. The meaning behind wearing this dress is to promote the spirit of:"Running is very simple, even if you're wearing a short, tight dress!"

One of the male contestants made the biggest impression with his red nightgown.

The male foreign contestant wore a wig with a strapless dress, paired with a scarf and gloves.

The contest attracted 120 participants, including many couples, foreigners, and a considerable number of male contestants. Not only did they wear super "sexy" short dresses, but they also accessorized with lively costumes such as wigs, glasses, heavy makeup, and even brought along dogs... all dressed in dresses while jogging.

A couple enthusiastically participated in the competition.

Images from the competition immediately flooded social media, not only because of its significance but, more importantly, because of the "awkward" and eye-catching dresses confidently displayed by the male contestants.
