Recently, Hanoi city reopened Trinh Cong Son pedestrian street to visitors after a long period of closure due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Thousands of tourists flocked to the surrounding streets to stroll, take photos, and participate in various recreational activities.

Previously, Trinh Cong Son pedestrian street was temporarily closed for renovations. Workers installing the lighting system on Trinh Cong Son pedestrian street said that approximately 8,000 LED lights and dozens of meters of string lights were decorated on all the trees along the street, creating a magical atmosphere in the evening.
In addition, the Tay Ho District People's Committee has decided to organize a series of cultural and artistic events at the main stage area of Trinh Cong Son flower garden. This series of events is expected to expand the scope of activities from Trinh Cong Son street to the West Lake promenade.
Every Saturday evening, traditional cultural events will take place, including classical music, chamber symphony, Xam singing, Ca Tru singing, Hat Van singing, and folk music ensembles. On the contemporary arts side, there will be many performances such as jazz, rap, hip-hop, classical dance, folk dance, and modern dance.

In particular, Trinh Cong Son pedestrian street also features exhibitions of books, paintings, photographs, artworks, installations, and handicrafts. At the same time, the area hosts traditional folk games such as clay modeling, calligraphy, circus performances, and variety shows. The Trinh Cong Son pedestrian street space is also a venue for cultural, tourism, and culinary festivals, fashion shows, and more.
In addition to cultural and artistic activities, the Tay Ho District People's Committee will organize performance spaces to showcase culinary arts, street food culture, and local handicraft products.
Trinh Cong Son pedestrian street is the second pedestrian zone in Hanoi, having opened on May 11, 2018. The area stretches approximately 900 meters and is adjacent to the lotus pond and West Lake water park. The pedestrian zone includes parts of Alley 431 Au Co, Alley 612 Lac Long Quan, and the "love road".
