Adult film platform Pornhub recently launched an online museum tour, allowing customers to not only admire but also interact with famous works of art.
Museums recreated by Pornhub include the Louvre (France), MET (USA), Prado (Spain), Uffizi (Italy), National Gallery (UK).

“There are countless works of art depicting fertility around the world, from paintings to sculptures. These works of art are sitting quietly in museums, waiting for visitors to come when Covid-19 restrictions are gradually lifted. When visitors return to the museum, if they feel bored with the boring pre-recorded commentary, they can experience our online program,” Asa Akira, Pornhub representative shared about the Classic Nudes program.
Pornhub wants to use this program to encourage more people to visit museums.

However, Pornhub's idea did not receive a positive response from museums. The Louvre even filed a lawsuit against the adult film site, demanding that the content be removed immediately.
The Uffizi Museum also criticized Pornhub, saying: “The website used unlicensed art images. According to cultural preservation regulations in Italy, the use of museum images or works of art for commercial purposes requires a clear licensing process, the management board will consider the method of use and the requested fee before deciding whether to accept or reject.”
