A new look for Penrith, Sydney
Penrith, located more than 50 km from the center of Sydney, used to be a familiar stop before tourists crossed the majestic Blue Mountains. Now, this area is changing strongly, keeping up with key infrastructure projects.
Opening in August 2023, Pullman Sydney Penrith will officially become the first 5-star hotel in the Western Sydney area. The project is located in the Panthers Precinct complex - an entertainment and sports complex associated with the Penrith Panthers club and adjacent to the Western Sydney Conference Centre (WSCC) with a capacity of 1,000 guests.
Unlike other downtown hotels, Pullman Sydney Penrith has a sophisticated and natural feel that blends into the landscape. The building features a sandstone wall in the main lobby, which displays artworks, including those by award-winning Australian Aboriginal artist Gloria Petyarre.

Inside, the 152 rooms are decorated in a minimalist style, combining warm wood tones and modern silver-grey tones, creating a sense of luxury while also evoking a bit of rustic suburban nostalgia. From the windows, views of the distant Blue Mountains or the ever-changing city skyline are offered.
A unique experience here is the "sleep therapy menu" on the in-room tablet, allowing guests to order sleep aids such as specialized pillows, relaxing essential oils, herbal teas or facial masks, making the vacation more complete.
In addition, Pullman Sydney Penrith also aims for sustainable development by completely eliminating single-use plastics, prioritizing local suppliers and installing charging stations for electric vehicles.

From the “outskirts” to the new center
The arrival of Pullman Sydney Penrith is more than just a new hotel, it is a symbol of the transformation of Western Sydney. The significance of the event is highlighted in the context of the completed Western Sydney International Airport (Nancy-Bird Walton), which is due to open in 2026.
Located just 21 minutes from the new airport, the hotel is expected to be an ideal base for international travelers, offering a luxury alternative to traditional tourist areas. From here, popular attractions are easily accessible: visitors can wander to the majestic Blue Mountains, explore the vibrant heart of Sydney, or enjoy the beautiful beaches along the coast.

As Sydney glows in the distance, Penrith is bathed in a softer, warmer light. From the hotel balcony, the melodious sounds of the bars around Panthers mingle with the lively atmosphere. Below, Marcel Bar & Bistro still glows, inviting diners with a menu that combines the unique flavors of Europe and Australia: from perfectly grilled fish, smooth mashed potatoes, delicious Hunter Valley cheeses to carefully selected wines from New South Wales vineyards.
Alongside Marcel, Tori in the main lobby offers a more relaxed and intimate atmosphere. This space is the perfect spot for all-day snacks, with signature coffees from local roasters and fresh pastries. Interestingly, both venues celebrate the legacy of legendary architect Marcel Breuer, creating a unique cultural narrative throughout the dining experience.

Pullman Sydney Penrith doesn’t try to isolate itself from the city; it blends into the pulsating pulse of the area. At night, you can hear the lively rhythms of Panthers Precinct next door from your room balcony, while dinner takes place in a slow, relaxed atmosphere at Marcel Bar & Bistro.
The opening of Pullman Sydney Penrith marks a new chapter: not just a place to stay, but also a contribution to shaping Penrith’s identity – a destination that balances tranquility and dynamism, local values and international vision. And this, perhaps, is just the beginning of a long and promising story.
