Although the number of international visitors has increased compared to 2022, it is still low.
However, the Ho Chi Minh City - Dong Hoi route and vice versa currently has only 02 flights per day on average, not meeting the travel needs of passengers, affecting the schedules of many previously arranged tours.
The number of tourists to Quang Binh in the first half of 2024 is increasing sharply, the province proposes many solutions to stimulate tourism.
In the coming time, especially during the peak tourist season of Summer 2024, it is forecasted that the number of tourists from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Quang Binh will continue to increase. The People's Committee of Quang Binh province has just issued Official Dispatch No. 840/UBND-KT requesting Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company to have a plan to increase the frequency of flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Dong Hoi and vice versa, and at the same time open more flights from Hanoi to Dong Hoi and vice versa to meet the increasing travel needs of the people.
In particular, from June 2024, Quang Binh province will organize many activities to celebrate the 420th anniversary of the establishment of Quang Binh province (1604 - 2024); 75 years of Quang Binh uprising (July 15, 1949 - July 15, 2024) and 35 years of re-establishment of the province (July 1, 1989 - July 1, 2024). To facilitate tourism development, Quang Binh also adjusted and reduced ticket prices at some routes and tourist attractions in Phong Nha - Ke Bang Tourism Center such as Song Chay - Hang Toi tourist attractions, Nuoc Mooc stream to stimulate demand and attract tourists in the upcoming peak tourist season.
