Vmap - digital map for Vietnamese people is a basic data platform including maps and address data layers. With a network of more than 12,000 service points and more than 50,000 employees spread to the commune and village levels, a modern information technology system, and experience in collecting data in many fields.
Vmap focuses on building more detailed data sources and addresses of Vietnamese users than existing platforms.
Vmap digital map, developed by Vietnam Post, focuses on building data sources and addresses of Vietnamese users. Compared to some available map and positioning platforms, Vmap displays separate map layers, along with the ability to display detailed addresses of each house number, whether in urban or mountainous areas, remote areas.
According to the developer, to collect map data, 120,000 postal workers and union members directly collected information in 3 months, creating more than 23.4 million addresses nationwide. This data can be applied in business such as providing to delivery units, applications on other systems.

Currently, Vmap has more than 23.4 million address data nationwide. In addition to basic features such as: address search, directions, Vmap will follow a different direction, most useful for users. That is to display separate map layers of areas in life and display detailed addresses to each house number, whether in urban or mountainous areas, remote areas.
Vmap is currently only available on the web, and has not yet launched an application on smartphone operating systems. However, the trial version has reached many users in society. Vmap is also expected to be applied by many Vietnamese businesses in management and business.
In addition to the Vmap project, another project in the project, iNhandao, was also introduced. This is a project chaired by the Vietnam Red Cross Society, using digital addresses from the Vmap map to build data on humanitarian addresses to provide accurate information, helping the activities of donors to ensure that they reach the right target, transparently and clearly.
