As a prestigious global design award with a history of over 60 years, the Red Dot Award 2019 witnessed a "creative battle" among global brands such as Samsung, KIA, Nissan, Sony, and more. Professor Peter Zec, Founder & CEO of the Red Dot Award, affirmed that the winning products were judged on criteria such as novelty, creativity, functionality, practical application, environmental friendliness, and must also make a strong impression in terms of design and product quality.

Winning the "Oscar of industrial design" is a daring challenge for a Vietnamese brand like Minh Long. Having previously won numerous international awards such as WIPO (United Nations) and the Asia Pacific Brand award, this is the first time the Vietnamese ceramics brand, with its 50-year history, has won a design award.

Renowned German designer Hans Wilhelm Seitz has collaborated with Minh Long since 2012 to create ceramic products that are "sophisticated, simple, and functional."
In the pottery craft, temperatures of a few hundred degrees can produce ordinary white plates, cups, and teapots, but to transform a raw lump of clay into flawless, jade-like masterpieces, one must endure the 1,380-degree heat test.oC.
