Indochine style is a design trend that reflects the traditional beauty of Vietnam. Because it is suitable for the lifestyle, customs, culture, aesthetic concepts, landscape and climate of Vietnamese people. This style is a blend of Vietnamese identity and French neoclassical style.

If you pay attention, you will realize that Indochine style exists in most of the ancient town architecture, ancient villas and hotels built a few decades ago. Indochine is present in every corner of Hoi An ancient town, Hanoi old town, Hue capital and somewhere in the middle of splendid Saigon.

The characteristic of Indochine style is the use of neutral tones such as light yellow, cream yellow, white to create a cool feeling suitable for the tropical climate in Vietnam. The interior space is a combination of neutral tones with the color of wood, rattan and bamboo furniture evoking Asian style. Some other spaces also use warm, hot tropical colors to create a strong impression such as red, purple, orange yellow.

In addition, some other projects choose wood and bamboo as the main materials in the project. Designers often choose wood for the structural frame and console of the roof, door system, flooring, ceiling, equipment, decorative details, round statues, reliefs... and use bamboo for decoration, partitions, tables, chairs because of its easy-to-shape nature as well as high termite resistance.

The traditional Vietnamese art elements are clearly shown in the patterns and motifs, which also contribute to the characteristics of the Indochine style. Patterns and motifs from the Dong Son period or the An Nam period such as geometric shapes, rectangles, tree shapes, flower shapes, still life shapes... have been synthesized and stylized to become more sophisticated. These patterns are applied to the details of floors, walls, ceilings, partitions, decorative items, interior equipment, bringing high artistic value.

When you are living in a society that changes too quickly, accompanied by the development of technology and modern architecture, then Indochine will help you feel like you are going back in time. Indochine style is a nostalgic feature, a moment full of nostalgia, a memory that lasts forever, and simply a peaceful place to return to. Old cafes, restaurants, hotels, villas, and old streets will be the ideal places for you to slow down, relax, and rest.
