Tourists from low-risk countries such as Australia (excluding Victoria), some provinces in China, Malaysia, Vietnam, etc., only need to quarantine at home for 7 days. These individuals will be retested for COVID-19 before the end of their quarantine period. This latest announcement was made by Singapore's Minister of Health, Lawrence Wong, on August 21st.
The Singapore government is gradually easing border restrictions.
Singapore is allowing travelers who have been in Brunei or New Zealand during the two weeks prior to entering Singapore to skip further home quarantine if their on-arrival test result is negative. From September 1st, Singaporean citizens wishing to travel to these two countries can apply for a travel permit 7-30 days before their arrival date. They will be responsible for all medical costs if they contract Covid-19.
In addition, the country is also discussing with Japan the Green Corridor, which would allow citizens to travel for work or official purposes.
