The Swing for the Heart 2018 golf tournament brought together many renowned golfers and famous artists from the Vietnamese entertainment industry, such as former football star Hong Son, actress Truong Ngoc Anh, actor Chi Bao, MC Thuy Hanh and musician Minh Khang (husband and wife), former model Thuy Hang, and many others. All participation fees and proceeds from the charity auction at the awards gala (up to 1.4 billion VND) were donated to the Swing for the Heart Foundation, supporting surgeries for underprivileged children with congenital heart disease in the Central region of Vietnam.
In the final results, golfer Ha Ngoc Hoang Loc, vice-captain of the Northern Union Cup team, won the Swing for the Heart 2018 championship. This is the second best achievement this year for the golfer from Da Nang; previously, he excellently won the national final of the Mercedes Trophy (also held at Laguna Lang Co golf course last June) and represented Vietnam in the Asian finals held in Australia.
