Hop-on-hop-off city tours are a type of double-decker bus service that stops to pick up and drop off passengers at popular tourist attractions in the city. This service is being implemented for the first time in Hanoi but is already very popular in major cities around the world.

This service uses double-decker buses equipped with commentary systems about the attractions and automatic translation in multiple languages. Passengers can use this information to decide whether to get off at a stop or skip a stop.

Hanoi Transport Corporation (Transerco) is the managing and operating unit.
Hanoi has assigned the Hanoi Transport Corporation (Transerco) as the unit responsible for managing and operating double-decker buses. The buses put into operation are high-end, open-top vehicles with a capacity of nearly 80 people. They utilize GPS navigation technology and automatic programming during operation to ensure a bus arrives and departs every 30 minutes at any point along the route.

The buses meet Euro 4 emission standards and have a low, flat floor, making it easy for the elderly, children, and wheelchair users to board and alight. They are also equipped with free Wi-Fi, USB charging ports, a refrigerator, screens, and surveillance cameras. Passengers can choose their preferred language through the multilingual system or access various entertainment programs.

The bus route will pass through 25 streets with 13 stops.
