The best time to go cloud hunting in Ta Xua is during the winter, from December to March each year, around 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

However, to successfully photograph clouds, one must also pay attention to the weather; several factors need to be present: recent drizzle, low temperatures at night and high temperatures during the day, and sunny days will result in beautiful clouds.

Visiting Ta Xua at this time of year increases your chances of encountering valleys of clouds. It's called "cloud hunting" because the clouds only appear for a few minutes before turning into a thick fog that blankets the area. At this point, you should move to a higher point to escape the fog.

As dawn broke, the "sea" of clouds gradually became clearer, revealing spectacular, swirling "waves."

Whether at sunrise or sunset, the Ta Xua mountain range possesses a mesmerizing, ethereal beauty, making one feel as if they have wandered into another world, not the earthly realm.

The third peak is located in the middle, resembling the ridge that forms the spine of a prehistoric dinosaur. There are two routes you can take to conquer this "spine": one is the route from Ta Xua village upwards, and the second starts from Bac Yen.

No words can fully describe the beauty of nature here.

Below those valleys lie endless terraced rice fields stretching for thousands of miles, hidden and revealed amidst a sea of clouds.

This place attracts like-minded souls, people who share a passion for conquering mountains.

The Hmong children shrouded in mist look like a captivatingly beautiful painting.

The ideal cloud-watching spot is numbered 03 on the map. From the central intersection of Ta Xua commune, head towards Hang Dong, and after about 3 km, you'll find a large rock by the roadside. This rock is the perfect spot to admire and photograph the sea of clouds.
