The Covid-19 epidemic is showing signs of decreasing worldwide, with many countries and territories gradually easing anti-epidemic measures. In Vietnam, the epidemic prevention and control work has also brought positive results. The number of cases has been continuously decreasing, and the Covid-19 vaccination coverage rate is high.
In that context, the Ministry of Health decided to temporarily suspend the requirement for Covid-19 testing before entering Vietnam from 0:00 on May 15, 2022. This policy aims to facilitate the promotion of socio-economic recovery activities in accordance with the Government's spirit.
The suspension of Covid-19 testing requirements for people entering Vietnam will contribute to promoting economic recovery.
In addition, the Ministry of Health requested the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to direct Vietnamese agencies abroad to notify people wishing to enter Vietnam to comply with requirements on disease prevention and control as required.
In addition, the Ministry of Health directed the Ministry of Transport and Chairmen of People's Committees of provinces and cities to continue implementing epidemic prevention and control measures; regularly inspect, report and promptly handle arising issues.
