On December 18th, the People's Committee of Tay Ninh province announced that it will waive entrance fees to the Ba Den Mountain historical and scenic site for domestic and international tourists from January 1st, 2022 to December 31st, 2022. "The waiver of entrance fees to Ba Den Mountain has been approved by the Provincial People's Council, aiming to stimulate tourism and alleviate difficulties and obstacles caused by the Covid-19 pandemic," said Mr. Vo Duc Trong, Vice Chairman of the Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee.
Mount Ba Den's peak is at an altitude of 986 meters.
Ba Den Mountain, the "roof of Southern Vietnam," stands at 986 meters and is renowned for its pristine natural scenery and ancient spiritual architecture. Since 2020, Sun World Ba Den Mountain has operated two cable car lines connecting Van Son and Chua Hang stations. These modern cable cars transport visitors from the foot of the mountain to the summit and Ba Den Pagoda in less than 10 minutes. Also in that year, the Ba Den station, which holds the Guinness World Record for "the world's largest cable car station," was put into operation. Simultaneously, visitors can make a pilgrimage to the summit to venerate the statue of the Goddess of Mercy, the tallest bronze statue of the Goddess of Mercy in Asia, located on a mountaintop, amidst a garden of vibrant flowers blooming year-round.
