The above information was announced by Deputy Spokesperson of the Thai Government Traisuree Taisaranakul on March 28, at the same time affirming that the Thai Government will continue to provide many solutions such as upgrading online one-stop public services to support international tourists to enter, exit and stay conveniently in Thailand.
Ms. Traisuree said the Thai Government has urged hotel and restaurant businesses to show hospitality and provide services at reasonable prices in the context that some restaurants and hotels have adjusted their service prices to double or triple due to the sharp increase in demand.

Tourism Council of Thailand Chairman Chamnan Srisawat expressed optimism today (March 29) that at least 30 million international visitors will come to the "Land of Golden Pagodas" in 2023, contributing about 1.5 trillion baht (about 43.74 billion USD) in revenue to the economy.
According to the Tourism Authority of Thailand, the number of tourists from China to Thailand has increased sharply since the Chinese government opened its doors on January 8. It is estimated that more than 400,000 Chinese tourists have visited Thailand and this is expected to continue to increase sharply during the Songkran festival in April.
Tourism is one of the main pillars of the Thai economy, accounting for 12% of the country's GDP before the Covid-19 pandemic. The Thai government expects about 30 million international visitors to the country in 2023, contributing to GDP growth of 3.8-4% for the whole year./.
