The school has many research achievements, mainly in the fields of physics, astronomy, pharmacology, medicine, law and sociology. 55 alumni of the school have been awarded Nobel Prizes.

Because of its outstanding achievements, Heidelberg University is honored as "German University of Excellence" and is among the top universities in Europe.

Many buildings are built of towering red sandstone, with wide corridors paved with cobblestone.

Along the corridor are large square bricks, which are the "golden plaques" honoring professors who have taught and researched at the school and have won or been nominated for the Nobel Prize.

A grand and artistic lecture hall in every detail. Everything here is made of old wood, has sophisticated carvings, and is carefully preserved...

Heidelberg University brings together students who are not only excellent in their studies, but also famous for their drinking and mischief.

These rooms were covered with colorful drawings because while confined, students "drew" on the walls to "kill" time and leave their names.
