The People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City has just made an important decision regarding the organization of a spectacular fireworks display to welcome the Lunar New Year of the Snake 2025. On an unprecedented scale, fireworks will be launched from many key locations, creating a dazzling and unforgettable festive atmosphere.

According to the official document, considering the proposal from the Ho Chi Minh City Command regarding the plan to hold fireworks displays during the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Snake 2025; and the proposal from the Department of Culture and Sports regarding proposed fireworks display locations for the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Snake 2025, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City agrees to organize fireworks displays at 15 locations in the city (2 high-altitude locations, 13 low-altitude locations); the fireworks display will last 15 minutes, from 0:00 to 0:15 on January 29, 2025 (the first day of the first lunar month of the Year of the Snake).

Thirteen locations for low-altitude fireworks displays: Thao Dien urban area (Thu Duc City), Saigon River area (Thu Duc City, 500m from Rach Chiec Bridge - launched from barges), Rach Dia Bridge area (Nha Be District - launched from barges), Dam Sen Cultural Park (District 11), Ben Ngoc Memorial Temple (Thu Duc City), Memorial area for the Tet Offensive and Uprising of 1968 (Binh Chanh District), Northwest Industrial Zone (Cu Chi District), Rung Sac Martyrs Memorial Temple (Can Gio District), District 7 Administrative Center Square, 38ha residential park (Tan Thoi Nhat Ward, District 12), Hoa Binh Square (Go Vap District), Nga Ba Giong Martyrs Memorial Area (Hoc Mon District), Binh Dien Market area (District 8).

Besides the spectacular fireworks display, Ho Chi Minh City will also organize many cultural and artistic activities to welcome the Lunar New Year of the Snake 2025, starting from 8 PM on January 28, 2025 (29th day of the Lunar month) to 12:30 AM on January 29, 2025 (early morning of the 1st day of the Lunar New Year). These include a 3D light show projected onto the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee building; an exhibition "Celebrating the Year of the Snake - Celebrating the Glorious Party" (from January 25 to February 9, 2025) at Lam Son Park, Dong Khoi Street, and Pasteur - Ly Tu Trong Street; a Tet flower market "On the Wharf, Under the Boat" (from January 14 to January 28) in District 8; a Spring Flower Festival and Tet flower market (from January 26 to February 2) at Tao Dan Park (District 3); the Nguyen Hue Flower Street Festival, the Book Street Festival, and many other cultural and artistic activities.
