Accordingly, Hanoi will have fireworks displays at 5 locations (6 sites) in Hoan Kiem, Ha Dong, Nam Tu Liem districts, Son Tay town and Dong Anh district from 0:00 to 0:15 on January 1, 2025.
Specifically, in Hoan Kiem district, there are two fireworks display locations: in front of the Hanoi Moi newspaper office and in front of the Hanoi Post Office. Location number 3 is in Nam Tu Liem district (at the F1 racetrack, Phu Do ward). Location number 4 is in Ha Dong district (Van Quan Lake, Van Quan ward). Location number 5 is in Son Tay town (Son Tay Ancient Citadel). Location number 6 is in Dong Anh district (Dong Anh District Sports Center). The number of high-altitude fireworks includes 3,600 (600 at each location); the number of low-altitude fireworks includes a total of 540 sets (90 sets at each location).
In addition, the city will host a New Year's Eve music festival on the evening of December 31, 2024, at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square and August Revolution Square. The Hanoi People's Committee has issued plans for organizing fireworks displays for the New Year and Lunar New Year (Year of the Snake) in 2025 in Hanoi.
During the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Snake (2025), Hanoi city also organized fireworks displays at 30 locations (31 sites), including 9 locations with high-altitude and low-altitude fireworks displays (10 sites), and 21 locations with low-altitude fireworks displays in 30 districts and towns from 0:00 to 0:15 on January 29, 2025 (the first day of the Lunar New Year).
Of the 10 locations for both high-altitude and low-altitude fireworks displays, Hoan Kiem District has two: one in front of the Hanoi Moi newspaper office and the other in front of the Hanoi Post Office.
Battlefield No. 3 in Tay Ho District (Lac Long Quan Flower Garden, in front of the District People's Committee). Battlefield No. 4 in Nam Tu Liem District (F1 racetrack area, Phu Do Ward). In addition, there are 21 low-altitude fireworks display sites. Site No. 11 is in Ba Dinh District (Southeast of Ngoc Khanh Lake, Ngoc Khanh Ward). Site No. 12 is in Hoang Mai District (Ho Den Lu Park, Hoang Van Thu Ward). Site No. 13 is in Long Bien District (Park 2, Viet Hung Ward). Site No. 14 is in Dong Da District (Xa Dan Lake, Nam Dong Ward).

The high-altitude fireworks display will consist of 6,000 fireworks (10 sites, each with 600 fireworks); the low-altitude fireworks display will include a total of 3,420 sets (120 sets per site; 10 high-altitude sites, each with 90 sets).
The meticulously planned fireworks display promises a truly meaningful transition moment.
Along with fireworks, the city plans to organize many cultural and artistic activities during the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Snake, such as the Hanoi International Light Festival in Tay Ho District (scheduled for 8 PM on January 18th); and the "Brilliant Thang Long 2025" program at the stage area in front of My Dinh National Stadium and the F1 racetrack area, scheduled from 9 PM to 11:59 PM on January 28th, 2025.
Audiences will enjoy modern music, spectacular artistic performances, and count down the final moments of the old year together. During the Lunar New Year, Hanoi will also allocate 1.1 million gift packages to people under social welfare policies, with a total budget of nearly 568 billion VND.
