Accordingly, Hanoi City will launch fireworks at 5 points (6 locations) in Hoan Kiem, Ha Dong, Nam Tu Liem districts, Son Tay town and Dong Anh district from 0:00 to 0:15 on January 1, 2025.
Specifically, in Hoan Kiem district, there are 2 locations: in front of the headquarters of the Hanoi Moi newspaper and in front of the Hanoi Post Office. Location No. 3 is in Nam Tu Liem district (at the F1 racetrack, Phu Do ward). Location No. 4 is in Ha Dong district (Van Quan lake, Van Quan ward). Location No. 5 is in Son Tay town (Son Tay ancient citadel). Location No. 6 is in Dong Anh district (Dong Anh district sports center). The number of high-altitude fireworks includes 3,600 (each location includes 600); low-altitude fireworks includes a total of 540 sets (each location includes 90 sets).
In addition, the city will organize a New Year's Music Festival on the evening of December 31, 2024 at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square and August Revolution Square. Hanoi City People's Committee issued Plans to organize fireworks displays on New Year's Eve and Lunar New Year 2025 in Hanoi Capital.
During the Lunar New Year, Hanoi city will also organize fireworks displays at 30 locations (31 sites), including 9 high-altitude and low-altitude fireworks displays (10 sites), 21 low-altitude fireworks displays in 30 districts and towns from 0:00 to 0:15 on January 29, 2025 (the first day of Tet).
Of which, with 10 high-altitude and low-altitude fireworks displays, Hoan Kiem district has 2 displays in front of the Hanoi Moi newspaper headquarters and in front of the Hanoi Post Office.

The number of high-altitude fireworks includes 6,000 fireworks (10 sites, each site includes 600 fireworks); low-altitude fireworks include a total of 3,420 sets (each site has 120 sets; 10 high-altitude sites, each site has 90 sets).

Along with fireworks, the city plans to organize many cultural and artistic activities on the occasion of the Lunar New Year, such as the Hanoi International Light Festival in Tay Ho district (scheduled for 8:00 p.m. on January 18); the Brilliant Thang Long 2025 program at the stage area in front of My Dinh National Stadium and the F1 racetrack area, scheduled from 9:00 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. on January 28, 2025.
Audiences will enjoy modern music, unique art performances and count down the last moments of the old year. On the occasion of Lunar New Year, Hanoi will also give 1.1 million gifts to policy beneficiaries with a total cost of nearly 568 billion VND.
