At the awards ceremony at the Malaga Club in Andalucia, the billion-dollar resort The Grand Ho Tram Strip was honored as “Best Golf Hotel in Vietnam” and “Best Golf Hotel in Asia”.
Previously, The Grand Ho Tram Strip and the traditional links-style golf course The Bluffs Ho Tram Strip, designed by Greg Norman, have consistently received awards from the World Golf Awards. Known as the best golf course in Vietnam and highly regarded by renowned golfers worldwide, The Bluffs Ho Tram Strip boasts a stunning location and design, nestled amidst vast natural sand dunes along the Ho Tram coastline, and close to Ho Chi Minh City.
In just a few years since opening in 2013, The Grand Ho Tram Strip resort has received numerous prestigious awards, including “Best New Golf Course in the World” at the 2015 World Golf Awards. In 2017, leading Vietnamese tourism and golf organizations voted it “Best Golf Course in Vietnam”. The Bluffs Ho Tram Strip golf course further solidified its status by being voted the top golf course in Vietnam and simultaneously ranking 35th in Golf Digest magazine's “Top 100 Golf Courses in the World”.
Not only that, at the 2018 World Golf Awards, Ho Tram Strip also impressed by contributing to elevating the prestige and class of Vietnamese golf to new heights on the world stage. Vietnam surpassed Thailand, Indonesia, and other countries to be named "Asia's Best Golf Destination". The winners at the 2018 World Golf Awards were decided by an open online survey conducted over seven months, starting at the beginning of the year.
The Bluffs golf course is designed to evoke the unique golfing experience of Southwest Ireland, thanks to its stunning natural landscape created by sand dunes along the coast. Opened in 2014, The Bluffs officially put itself on the world golf map when it successfully hosted the $1.5 million Ho Tram Open in 2015, organized by the Asian Tour, with Sergio Garcia as the current champion. The Ho Tram Open was also voted "Asian Tour Event of the Year" by members of the Asian Tour.
