The Techcombank International Marathon will start at the gate of Saigon Zoo and Botanical Gardens and run through famous landmarks of Ho Chi Minh City such as: International Construction, Independence Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, City Theater, City People's Committee. Athletes will also run through beautiful routes such as: Le Duan, Dong Khoi, Ton Duc Thang, Nguyen Hue, Vo Van Kiet, Calmette Bridge, Nguyen Huu Canh, Thu Thiem Bridge and Nguyen Co Thach. Runners after completing the race will have the opportunity to admire the wonderful scenery of Ho Chi Minh City with iconic high-rise buildings built on the other side of the river, looking like a vivid picture. And certainly, after this event, participants will bring back memorable memories for themselves.
Runners will have four distances to choose from to participate in this year's Race: 42.195 km, 21.1 km, 10 km and the shortest distance of 5 km. The 5 km run is opened to encourage everyone to participate in improving their sportsmanship, being outgoing and encouraging those who have never run to try their hand at "the first steps", thereby changing themselves to have a healthier lifestyle. Therefore, the 5 km run is a great opportunity for you and your family, friends and colleagues to experience and accompany each other to excel every day of life.
Kids Run – Children's Run will take place on the afternoon of December 1, 2018, in the new urban area of Thu Thiem. This activity is organized to encourage children to exercise, move their bodies, and participate in exciting outdoor activities taking place at the "Marathon Village".
Expo sponsor - Manulife continues to bring the experience of "Marathon Village" open free of charge from November 30, December 1 - 2, 2018 at Empire City, Thu Thiem new urban area. Athletes coming to receive race kits and visitors here will have the opportunity to attend seminars on health and nutrition, shop for specialized clothing and sports equipment, enjoy a variety of dishes as well as visit booths displaying outstanding products from suppliers and sponsors of the program. By participating in the Techcombank Ho Chi Minh City International Marathon, athletes not only have the opportunity to test their limits on the track, but also have the opportunity to change the lives of those around them through their own running steps. Completing the race within the specified time, for each completed kilometer, the Organizing Committee will contribute 10,000 VND to the Fund for the Poor and the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Talent Support Fund.
