The Refuge House, also known as “Refuge Haus”, is a place where pieces of art are gathered to enjoy. The first floor is a cafe area with a cool green garden, providing a relaxing and familiar space. Going up to the second and third floors, visitors will discover a unique art exhibition space, where the artworks of young artists in the ongoing "TÔ-GETHER" event are arranged intimately and delicately.
Create, connect and enjoy art together
"TÔ-GETHER" is a series of open studio art activities, where young artists introduce and practice their creations directly and authentically. This event brings together 6 promising young artists: Quyet Duong, Le Anh Dung, Dao Thao Phuong, Cao Thuc, Hoang Dung and Kim Ngan. The paintings introduced in "TÔ-GETHER" are the result of serious and meticulous working hours in the studio, where each artist not only talks with the model but also talks with himself through each stroke and each creative decision.

The message that "TÔ-GETHER" conveys is very clear: create together, learn together and connect through art. This is an open space where viewers can directly feel and approach art in a close way, without distance or strangeness. Here, everyone can reward themselves with a bit of quiet in the middle of a busy winter day, immersing themselves in a space filled with the breath of art.
The unique feature of the "TÔ-GETHER" event is the series of "Open Studio" art activities held throughout December. This is an opportunity for the audience not only to admire the works but also to directly participate in the creative process with the artists:
- "Breathe-gether" Workshop (December 19): Experience the connection between breath, body and material. Ink and water are not only tools but also a rhythmic interplay in each movement of the pen.
- "Translate-gether" workshop (December 22): A new perspective on painting, where painting is no longer an exact copy of reality but a process of "translating" the surrounding world into each person's own unique visual language.
- "Nan-gether" Workshop (December 26): A space for the senses to work together, where you can touch, mold and imagine the faces in your memory formed from the Earth.
- "Bong-gether" Workshop (December 29): Feel the delicacy and gentleness of nature through flowers and branches, and join the artist in creating small, pretty gifts to convey love.
Where art "takes refuge"
The Nương Nầu Art Hub space is likened to a “small house” for art, where people can temporarily put aside the noise of the city to immerse themselves in creative values. Located in an old French villa, small alley number 13B Nguyễn Gia Thiều or “13B rue Bonifacy” during the French period, this place is like an artistic “silence” in the heart of Hanoi.
The message that 'TÔ-GETHER' sends is very clear: create together, learn together and connect through art.
Everything in Nuong Nau, from the sunlight filtering through the foliage casting shadows on the mossy walls to the sound of raindrops on the red brick floor, exudes the breath of art and time. For Ms. Trang, the founder of this space, the greatest wish is to turn this place into an ideal “art house” for young artists and those who are passionate about creativity.
She shared: “I want Nuong Nau to be a place where people can visit and enjoy art as part of their lives, like returning to their own home – peaceful and familiar. I hope that when entering here, everyone will no longer have the mindset of a curious tourist, but a true art lover, able to calm down and enjoy each painting, each small corner in this space.”

"TÔ-GETHER" is open to the public from 10:00 - 18:00 every day, from December 17, 2024 to December 31, 2024 at 13B Nguyen Gia Thieu, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi. The exhibition space introduces sketches drawn in 2-3 hours at the studio with a contemporary feel but still retains the rusticity and authenticity of 6 talented young artists. In the warm space of Nương Nầu, viewers will have the opportunity to approach art in a close way, learn more about the creative journey of young artists.
