For a long time, Son La has been famous for its pristine, unspoiled beauty of majestic mountains and forests, winding mountain passes, and dense fog. Many places are known as dream destinations for nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts, such as Ta Xua, Moc Chau, Son La hydroelectric power plant, Chieng Khoa waterfall, Moong village, Hong Ngai... The lifestyle of the highlanders and their unique cuisine are also strong attractions for tourists. These factors show that Son La is a land with rich potential for strong tourism development.

The "Colors of Son La - Northwest Vietnam" tourism event, organized by the Son La Provincial People's Committee in coordination with the Son La Provincial Department of Tourism and the Hanoi Department of Tourism, will be held at Ly Thai To Flower Garden (Hanoi) from October 23-25. The event aims to introduce and promote the image of Son La's land and people, especially its tourism, to domestic and international friends; particularly to the people of the capital city.

Here, the public can visit and shop at 30 stalls showcasing Son La's cultural and tourism products; enjoy the beauty of Son La's tourism through 50 photographic works displayed in the Octagonal House, thereby gaining a better understanding of Son La's tourism, cultural identity, and safe agricultural products...

Also on this occasion, the People's Committee of Son La province organized the "Colors of Son La" experiential tourism promotion conference to strengthen tourism linkages between Hanoi and the Northwestern provinces, find solutions to increase the attractiveness of tourism in Son La and Hanoi, and develop new tours and routes to bring tourists between the two localities.

The conference attracted the participation of more than 150 travel agencies from Son La province and Hanoi, showcasing the potential and assessing the difficulties and challenges in developing tourism in Son La. In particular, the conference strived to contribute ideas and propose solutions for effective tourism linkages, with a focus on building safe destinations, improving infrastructure such as transportation, preserving local cultural identity, and increasing connectivity between travel agencies and destinations.

At the conference, the Son La Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Hanoi Department of Tourism, along with the Son La Tourism Association, the Hanoi Tourism Association, and the UNESCO Hanoi Travel Club, signed commitments to coordinate tourism development between Hanoi and Son La.
