A unique opportunity to visit the gallery of contemporary artist Tran Minh Tam and discover the extraordinary life of Vietnam's last ruling dynasty.

Craig Thomas Gallery and Sophie's Art Tour will be hosting an exhibition in Saigon of artist Tran Minh Tam and his latest collection of oil and lacquer paintings on wood depicting Vietnam's last dynasty.

This is a rare and exclusive opportunity to gain a deeper and more practical insight into the life of artist Tran Minh Tam, and through this art exhibition, visitors will be invited by him into the fascinating and chaotic life of the Nguyen dynasty.

The Nguyen Dynasty ruled Vietnam from 1802 to 1945, and their lives and the wondrous inner worlds they lived in were shrouded in myth, legend, and mystery, which will be revealed through the works of artist Tran Minh Tam.

The tour will begin at the Nguyen Dynasty II exhibit at Craig Thomas Gallery. Participants will be invited on a journey through time to meet some of the most famous figures of the era, such as the last emperor – Bao Dai, Empress Nam Phuong, Emperor Gia Long – the founder of Saigon as a military stronghold, and Emperor Duy Tan – the ruler of the dynasty.

After viewing the collection, the tour will continue to meet the artist, Tran Minh Tam, at his studio, where he creates the House of Nguyen series.
